Mr. Wang Bin (2015)

Wang Bin, Manager in Beijing Green & Shine Foundation. During his college years he served as volunteer for the Red Cross Society and volunteer of China Marrow Donor Program. He carried out volunteer activities such as helping the disabled, the elderly and children, disaster rescue, AIDS prevention, blood donation and hematopoietic stem cell donation. In December 2009, he successfully donated the hematopoietic stem cell for one compatriot from Taiwan. After graduation, he went to a small village in Guizhou Province for a one-year poverty alleviation volunteer project. In 2011 he joined Beijing Green & Shine Foundation and committed to charitable work as his career. During the four years of working, he grown to be a project manager, in which position he contributed a lot to the science education undertaking in villages in the middle and west of China.

Beneficiaries: Teachers and students in underdeveloped areas, especially those in basic education phase


Main Activities: Focus in the elementary education in underdeveloped areas, give support to the scientific education of teenagers and professional guidance to the rural teachers. The three main projects are Mini Library, Rural Science Teacher Training Project and Rural Teacher Support.



Beijing Green & Shine Foundation was registered in 2008. The key purpose of the Foundation is to improve the rural education conditions in China. The G&S Foundation’s work focuses on the following areas: providing training to rural teachers, donating mini libraries and laboratories as well as launching ecological assistance projects at schools, and awarding scholarships to disadvantaged students. The Foundation is on a mission to improve China’s rural education and support the rural teachers and students to facilitate their advancement in persistence.
