Ms. Tong Ziying (2015)

Tong Ziying, the director of Warm Charity Fund.Graduated from Peking University as Doctor for physics, she used to be in high position at big companies in America and China, but decided to devote herself to charity work.In 2010 she founded the Warm Charity, a non-profit organizationfocus on providing free art education for handicapped children.

Beneficiaries: Handicapped children at age 4~18

 

Main Activities: "Warm Art Classrooms", explore artistic talent of handicapped children, help them to build self-confidence and acquire artistic skills with the guidance of professional artists. “Warm Art Bookshelf”,give the handicapped children a chance to feel the charm of art. “Warm Art Exhibition”, shows the works of handicapped children in galleries and let more people get to learn about these children and charity work.


Warm Charity has about 240 volunteers. Since the opening of its first Warm Art Classroom in July, 2012, Warm Charity has collaborated with several special education schools, private studios, art teachers, and opened 6 classrooms in Shanghai and Zhejiang province. It provided classes to teach handicapped children printmaking, oil painting, water color, paper cutting, ceramics and other art forms. Meanwhile, Warm Charity showed works of handicapped children by holding art exhibits and charity auctions to raise the social awareness of the public. Warm Charity also held series of art and culture events, took children on field trips to museums, art galleries, and parks to experience art, culture and nature.
